Gothenburg flowers

We’ve been visiting some good friends in Gothenburg and I’m feeling super inspired by all things Swedish. In addition to catching up over amazing food and drink, we’ve visited cool bars, stylish interiors shops and fabulous florists. Having a floristry shop has never really appealed (I prefer to work exclusively on weddings and events from a studio) – but a wonderful homeware and flower shop called Floramor och Krukatos started to tempt me otherwise.

Trends we’re seeing here in the UK are evident in Sweden too, notably terrariums, cloches and lots of vintage glass bottles. Cacti and succulents are everywhere and flower displays are often of the same variety rather than mixed bunches, which I love for the chic simplicity. I was particularly enamoured with giant peach French tulips, papery white rannunculus and frothy carnations in delicious shades of pink. Divine.
